We have just finished the YWAM Jubilee Celebrations here in Tauranga, New Zealand, and what a time it was! We had over 800 participants in total with around 200 of them from the Pacific Islands: New Caledonia, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Samoa, Cook Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Yap and many more from around the world. Cindy Ruakere, a well known Maori worship leader, led us in worship and with the Pacific Islanders dancing, playing their drums and chanting really made for a great time. You could feel the Holy Spirit’s presence. Loren and Darlene helped us to look back at the past, and remember “our story”. It was a time of learning of failures and victories and a time of impartation for the next generation of leaders. During the course of the 3 days we looked into the past, present and future. Loren and Darlene did an excellent job sharing with us. Many people’s visions became clearer during this time, and God spoke strongly to all of us about “carrying the flame forward” with the Jubilee Covenant. Finally, we had a time of honoring Loren and Dar for their 50 years of sacrifice and leadership and for modeling Christ to us. The Pacific Nations really wanted to honor God and Loren and Darlene through presentations and gifts. We ended the celebrations with the commissioning of Loren and Darlene into this next year of global 50th anniversary celebrations. We also prayer for and commissioned other ministries such as Marine Reach New Zealand, handing over their ship to Australia in an act of generosity and obedience, and praying over the new structure of the National Leadership of YWAM NZ. We have now entered into another three full days with Call2all Next Generation where we are seeing thousands of people coming. For the past two nights have seen about 1,000 come forward each night to surrender their lives to Christ for the first time, or to make a new dedication of their lives. God is moving powerfully in our Land of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Blessings to you, |
